Index Poster Store

Index is a design concept for a Poster Shop. The proposal examines how Environmental and Graphic strategies may be employed within a 'Flagship" or prototype store in Dublin, Ireland.

With the evolution of high quality, affordable printing devices the retail environment accommodates a battery of laser plotters. Customers access the image database through graphic keypads located along four levels of the store.

The replacement of pre-printed merchandise with global web resources eliminates to need for extensive storage space. The store resembles a solitary machine within the envelope of the existing building.

Although architectural in character the drawings were composed to emphasize the relationship between signage and form. The graphics become architectural and the architecture symbolizes of the unique commodity on sale.
